First Major Conference (NBMBA)

     

September 16-20th was a rites of passage for Magnepels. The company embarked on its first major vending event. The National Black MBA (NBMBA) Association hosted their 36th annual conference and exposition in Atlanta, GA. The event attracted approximately 10,000 attendees and featured roughly 300 career expo exhibitors. The NBMBA conference will forever hold a special moment in Magnepels history because of the "First." It was the first major conference; the first time to see our company name on a large banner; the first major challenge; and more importantly the first time to interact face to face with people from all walks of the world. All vendors gathered in what was known as the "Marketplace." The room featured a melting pot of quality businesses and was decorated with beautiful Afro-Centric paintings. One minor hiccup from the event was the limited visibility. The marketplace was initially overlooked by a majority of event attendees due to the location in proximity to the expo/conference. The NBMBA Conference was a great event and hopefully the beginning of much more to come.
